Strange how so many politicians in the UK, many of which support the UK leaving the EU, are in favour of Ukraine’s membership.
Ukraine has a democratically elected government who have decided, quite rightly in my opinion, that it’s not the right time for the Ukraine to join. The answer of course is to wait for the next election and elect parties/people who have the opposite view.
What we have right now is a mob of around 100,000 people deciding that they have the right to dictate policy. There are a group of multi-billionaires in Ukraine who would stand to make even greater fortunes out of membership while clearly the average Ukrainian would not benefit, these are the people financing the “revolution”.
As for police brutality, frankly I don’t see it. I have seen the police being attacked with truncheons, rock throwing and in some cases firearms. Imagine what would happen in the USA if there were demonstrations on this level with tractors on the White House lawn, just how relaxed would the police be?

MEPs head to Kiev, as authorities threaten crackdown

A group of MEPs, including Poland’s Saryusz-Wolski and Germany’s Brok, as well as former Georgian leader Saakashvili, have flown to Kiev to join pro-EU protests. Ukraine’s PM Friday branded protesters “Nazis and criminals,” while a police chief said he plans to “act decisively, harshly” unless people stop occupying official buildings.
These MEPs have no right to interfere with the domestic affairs of the Ukraine, there’s no justification at all. They should be arrested
