Syrian army units on Sunday inflicted terrorist groups heavy losses in Homs countryside, including al-Ghanto, al-Mashjar al-Janoubi, Beit Rabia, Talbiseh, Beit Hajjo, al-Sain, Um Sharshouh, al-Dar al-Kabira and Ein Hussein areas, and destroyed their military ordnance, state-run SANA news agency reported.
SANA added that an army unit killed or injured all members of an armed group in al-Waer neighborhood in the city, while another unit destroyed two cars equipped with heavy machineguns and a rocket launcher in Homs countryside.
Syrian army fought off a terrorist attack on Taloul al-Hawa village in eastern part of Homs countryside and eliminated all its members, a military source told SANA.
It also destroyed a terrorist den in Talbiseh used by terrorists as headquarters and killed all terrorists inside.
Among the killed terrorists, there were non-Syrian leaders of terrorist groups deployed in a number of villages and towns in the northern countryside of Latakia, a military source said.
The source told SANA that two caches for storing rockets and making explosive devices and several mortar and rocket launch pads were destroyed in the operations.
A military source said that a unit of the army foiled an armed terrorist group's attempt to infiltrate into al-Lairamon and al-Zahraa areas in Aleppo and killed several terrorists and detonated a tunnel used by terrorists surrounding the Castle towards al-Swieka area.
In the mean time, army destroyed terrorists' weapons caches in Khan al-Assal, causing huge explosions and killing scores of terrorists.
A military source revealed as well that a terrorist den in Bianon in Aleppo countryside was destroyed and 20 foreign terrorists were killed.
Another infiltration attempt in al-Layramoun and al-Zahra was also foiled and several gunmen were killed, in addition to the destruction of a tunnel in the surrounding of Aleppo Citadel.
The source added that army units also destroyed terrorists' caches of weapons and ammunition in Khan al-Asal, causing huge explosions where many terrorists were killed or injured and their weapons were destroyed.
SANA reported that army units targeted terrorists' gatherings in the area surrounding the central prison, the industrial city, al-Jbeileh, al-Ramousa, Andan, Azan, Bayanoun, al-Layramoun, Ettin, Atareb, al-Khasseh, Mare', Bustan al-Qaser, al-Shahed, al-Rashedin, al-Sheikh Said and Shantaret al-Hajeb, inflicting heavy losses upon them.
