State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki found herself in an awkward position after she had to defend remarks by Ukrainian politicians who used unconventional language while addressing their Russian counterparts and their own Russian-speaking population. In particular, Ukranian Foreign Minister Andrey Deshchitsa chanted “Putin’s a f**ker” with a cheering crowd that had earlier vandalized the Russian embassy. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk called people in Donetsk and Luhanks regions “subhumans”.
