Jerusalem is not negotiable according to Israelis and it is the first time that the decision has been Arab and not Palestinian regarding the exchange of land – agreed upon by the Arab foreign ministers with John Kerry- that will exchange populated Arab land – within the 1948 borders- against West Bank new settlements without going back to Palestinians.
According to this agreement Palestinians will recognize Israel as a legal Jewish state . Within the same line falls the greater role given to the settlers whereby the settlers are encouraged – by the Israeli authorities – to confront Palestinians so as to make the conflict look between Jewish settlers and Palestinians on equal par and the Israeli army will look neutral and trying to separate between the two . For the future this scenario will be used to prevent both settlers and Palestinians to enter the Aqsa Mosque and Muslims will be deprived from praying in it – on par with settlers – unless the settlers get their share in the Holy Shrine equally .
No doubt that it is intended to make this struggle look as a religious struggle between Jewish and Muslims instead of a struggle due to occupation and invasion . For this reason Israel is insisting on its Jewish identity suddenly and is imposing this recognition as a pre requisite for any Arab/ Israeli agreement .
The drama played to day and the attack on al Aqsa falls within the same line- as well – showing a Jewish attack on Muslims in their Mosque . This is the line along which BDS is working through the campaign of boycott- that is overtaking Europe and the US and Arab capitals- and seeks to turn Israel into an Apartheid racist state that shuns the rights of religious minorities instead of a usurping occupying illegal entity that is usurping the whole land and exterminating the population .
This is the new racist image Israel is trying to assume in order to acquire the legality of an Apartheid state .
