Damascus, (SANA) _ Attacks with mortar rounds caused material damage to three churches and a school in Bab Touma neighborhood in Damascus.
A source at the Police Command told SANA that several mortar rounds that terrorists launched on Friday hit Bab Touma area in Damascus, causing material damage to al-Mansour School and the Chaldean, Latin and Syriac churches and two houses, with no casualties among citizens.

Damascus, (SANA)_ The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces issued a statement on Friday, after regaining control over key towns in Homs province.
“After a successful military operation and accurate tactical maneuvers, units of the armed forces managed this morning to tighten control over the towns of al-Hadath, Hawarin and Mhin and the warehouses nearby to the southeast of Homs city,” the statement said.
The statement added that the army units dealt severe blows to the armed terrorist groups who attacked civilians and military checkpoints in the area, killing large numbers of terrorists and mercenaries and destroying hundreds of arm-equipped vehicles.
”With this successful operation that left large numbers of terrorists killed in a well-planned trap, the armed forces punctured the delusions of terrorists and their masters in taking over vital areas in Homs countryside, and aborted their plans to ease pressure on the remaining terrorist pockets in the area, causing dramatic collapse in the morale of armed terrorist groups that are faltering under the strikes of the Syrian army.”
The General Command stressed determination to go ahead with eliminating terrorism and striking with an iron fist everyone who seeks to tamper with the security of the homeland.

Provinces, (SANA)- The Syrian army is achieving more gains in the framework of stepped up operations in which the army units bring more areas under their control.
Among these areas are Mheen, Hawarin and al-Hadath towns in the eastern countryside of Homs which fell Friday under the army’s control after inflicting heavy lossses upon the terrorists, according to a military source.
Earlier, another military source announced that the army units gained full control over Tel Hasel in Aleppo countryside after having killed a large number of terrorists.
The army units will continue hunting down the escaping terrorists in the surrounding areas of Tel Hasel
Army units chase terrorists in Mheen, destroy weapons in several areas in Homs
Units of the armed forces hunted down members of armed terrorist groups in Mheen town in the eastern countryside of Homs, leaving large numbers of them dead and injured, an official source told SANA reporter.
The army units also destroyed several of the terrorists’ dens and big amounts of weapons and ammunition loaded in cars on the outskirts of Mheen town, the source added.
It also mentioned that three cars with all terrorists inside were destroyed in Mheen as a truck loaded with weapons and ammunition was seized in the vicinity of al-Heer al-Gharbi Palace.
Meanwhile, an army unit destroyed a car and a den for leaders of terrorist groups and killed 15 terrorists in Eidoun village in al-Saan area.
Other army units killed and wounded a number of terrorists in the village of ad-Dweir in ad-Dar al-Kabira, north of al-Mahmoud mosque, south of reservoirs, the land of Sheikh Ibrahim in al-Rastan and Khaleej Kissin.
Army units kill terrorists in various areas in Idleb
In Idleb, an army unit carried out a special operation against an armed terrorist group in Saraqeb city, killing all of its members, according to a military source.
The source told SANA reporter that the operation also resulted in the destruction of the terrorist group’s den along with the weapons and ammunition inside, noting that terrorists Salim Wawi, Ghiath Raslan, Ghazi Shbeib, Mousa Mohammad Mousa and Abdul-Sattar al-Kurdi were identified among the dead.
The source added that units of the armed forces killed and wounded numbers of terrorists and destroyed their weapons in the city of Maaret al-Numan and the villages of Ma’shamsheh and al-Za’laneh.
Terrorists eliminated in Aleppo and its countryside
In Aleppo, a military source told SANA reporter that the army units killed a number of terrorists in the youth housing compound, Bani Zeid, the vicinity of the central prison and al-Kindi hospital, Tel Shoihna, Kafr Da’el, and al-Rashedeen 4, Bab al-Nassr in old Aleppo, Anjarah, Orm al-Kubra, journalists’ society, al-Mansoura and Arbid village .
The source said that other units destroyed vehicles and cars with all terrorists inside east of Deir Hafer, Karm al-Mayser, Karm al-Trad, Rasm Mayaleh, Bisha and al-Bakat in the southern rural area.
According to the source two infiltration attempts by armed terrorist groups were foiled as the groups’ members were killed and wounded.
